A Nutritionist is an expert in the field of food and nutrition, and typically work with private clients using food to promote health. Nutritionists can work with acutely-ill patients under the supervision of a Dietitian or other regulated health professionals.

I decided to study Nutrition 13 years ago before having kids. I wanted to gain the knowledge to have healthy pregnancies and bring up my children healthily.

4) What does the role involve?

I offer Nutrition program for children, families as we cannot isolate the child’s diet, it needs to be placed into the family context. Nutrition Workshops involve teaching children basic nutrition skills at school.

5) What is the best part of your job?

When a child is not keen on some healthy food, try a new food and enjoys it.It is rewarding also to find patients’ health improve through tailored treatment plans

6) How do you feel Nannies benefit from the course?

I find that most Nannies coming to the course are very keen to improve their nutrition knowledge in order to implement these in their lives and at work. They get practical guidance on how to cope with fussy children (common issue) and how to prepare  balanced meals. It helps them take their cooking to a more fun and exciting level. Also, being able to ask all sort of questions relating to health, children and having answers from a professional therapist who is also a parent is very valuable to them.

7) When not working as a Nutritionist what do you do?

In my free time, I like cooking with my children or for them. I also like to do yoga, cycle, play tennis and help with homework
