OCN Sleep Training
This level 3 OCN Sleep Training is for childcarers looking to specialize or gain additional knowledge in sleep training as part of their career or for those individuals working with a baby or child with a sleep problem.
The course addresses common (as well as less common) sleep problems and strategies to overcome sleep problems based on current research and guidelines.
The role of the Sleep Training Professional
Common sleep problems in babies, toddlers & children, including refusal to sleep
REM content of sleep, sleep patterns
Sudden Infant Death Guidelines
Implementation of a programme to effectively support sleeping habits in babies 0-3 months and babies 3-6 months.
Behavioural sleep training techniques from 6 months +
Working with twins/multiples or multiple children in one room
Routine and sleep
Relationship between eating and sleeping
Working with parents
The sleep environment, including: travelling/jetlag, moving a child from a cot to a bed, or changing rooms
Sleep Problems including: night terrors, sleep apnea, circadian rhythm disorders, head banging.

Yes, learners are emailed a study pack, along with assessments. Learners are given 5 weeks to complete the course from the start of the course, and learners are expected to send the completed assessments back to us by email.
For those learners without email all materials can be posted for an additional £20 fee (if you are living outside of the UK please contact us on email@example.com to discuss postage options and postal charges).
