This Paediatric First Aid course is suitable for anyone working with or caring for babies and children, and focuses on how to prevent accidents as well as how to treat them.

Do our courses meet the new (2014) Ofsted Guidelines?

Yes, Babyem’s Paediatric First Aid instructors are registered with awarding bodies. We regularly monitor and assess our processes and courses to ensure that what we are delivering training the highest standard and meeting the needs of all our learners.

What do I need to wear when attending the paediatric first aid course?

Due to the practical nature of the paediatric first aid course, we ask that all candidates wear trousers and suitable tops.

How is the blended learning paediatric first aid course structured?

We believe that learning is most effective when candidates are actively taking part rather than sitting and listening! Therefore the course includes a range of practical and interactive activities.

During the course candidates will be supported by their Paediatric First Aid instructor in small groups of 3 or 4 to practice and explore all areas of paediatric first aid.

Before the practical one day course candidates will complete our e-learning module through logging into our training portal. On completion of the practical course you will receive the 12 hour paediatric first aid certificate.

What training do the paediatric first aid instructors have?

All of our trainers have hands-on experience of dealing with first aid emergencies with children, young people and adults. We bring together a highly skilled team of trainers that have worked with the armed forces, in A&E and for the London Ambulance Service.

We understand the importance of candidates feeling confident and competent when caring for a child in a medical emergency and ensure that, on completion of the course, you are equipped with the necessary skills to confidently help should something happen.

Are there breaks in the training?

Yes; candidates will have two 15 minutes breaks and a lunch break of 45 minutes.

What happens if I lose my certificate?

If you require a replacement certificate, simply call our team who will arrange for a new certificate to be sent to you. Please note there is a £10 charge for a replacement certificate.

What happens if I book the course but can’t attend?

Our classes are restricted to 12 delegates per one paediatric first aid instructor. As per our booking terms, you are welcome to find a replacement to full your place should you not be able to attend, however, refunds are not given unless there is a medical reason (and a doctor’s note has been received).
