Common Core Skills Knowledge Course – Level 3

In order to register on the Ofsted Voluntary Childcare Register and/or comply with Ofsted requirements
childcarers are required to undertake Common Core Skills Knowledge Training. Babyem provide the Common Core Skills Knowledge Training accredited through OCN (Level 3), which meets the 6 common core skills areas required by Ofsted.

Babyem is the only major training agency to cover additional important topics such as Healthy Eating,
Managing Behaviour, Knowing your rights and responsibilities and offer a free CV consultancy service for candidates. Courses take place on a monthly basis in Central London.

CACHE Introduction to Childcare Practice – Level 3

Unit 1 of the Diploma in Home-based Childcare, Introduction to (Home-based) Childcare Practice (ICP), is the recommended introductory course for new and prospective childminders. This course is also suitable for un-qualified Nannies (and other home-based childcarers) wishing to register with Ofsted.

The course is delivered by distance learning. Each learner is allocated a personal tutor who will provide them with the relevant course materials and guidance to complete the course. The tutor is available for email or telephone support.

OCN Introduction to Food and Nutrition for Children and Young People – Level 3

This cooking course is suitable for nannies, domestic workers, housekeepers and au-pairs wishing to become more confident and gain skills in preparing healthy food for babies, toddlers and children. Courses have been designed by a qualified nutritionist with extensive experience working with children and families privately, as well as with local authorities and charities throughout the UK.

Advanced Level Nanny Courses

Managing Behaviour

This course provides participants with an effective approach in how to best manage challenging behaviour and build relationships with children and their families. Participants will have the opportunity to draw on past and current experiences, whilst applying key theory learnt throughout the day.

The course will be facilitated by an Educational and Child Psychologist with extensive experience in working with children from 0-19 years and particular expertise in children’s emotional and behavioural development, special needs and parenting support.
