The Paediatric First Aid course allows all candidates to learn and demonstrate essential Paediatric First Aid skills by participating in a blended e-learning course. The course consists of a theory section that is completed in the comfort of your own home before attending the one day practical class (10 am – 4 pm) in South Kensington.

The 12 hour Paediatric First Aid course consists of 1 day of online training content and 1 day of attendance at our venue in London. The live in-person part of the first aid training builds on the e-learning and focuses on putting theory into practice. Therefore it’s important that the e-learning content is completed BEFORE attending the course.

This Paediatric First Aid course is suitable for anyone working with or caring for babies and children and focuses on how to prevent accidents as well as how to treat them.
Yes, Babyem’s Paediatric First Aid instructors are registered with awarding bodies. We regularly monitor and assess our processes and courses to ensure that we are delivering training to the highest standard and meeting the needs of all our learners.
Due to the practical nature of the paediatric first aid course, we ask that all candidates wear trousers and suitable tops.
We believe that learning is most effective when candidates are actively taking part rather than sitting and listening! Therefore the course includes a range of practical and interactive activities.
During the course candidates will be supported by their Paediatric First Aid instructor in small groups of 3 or 4 to practice and explore all areas of paediatric first aid.
We want you to have the best possible experience when completing the Paediatric First Aid Training, and therefore we strongly advise that you complete the online part of the training before attending the face to face course at our training venue in London. This is because the face to face training builds on the content covered during the online part of the Paediatric First Aid Training.
You will be asked to provide proof that you have completed the e-learning by the First Aid Instructor (in the form of printing out your certificate or showing a screenshot) and if you have not completed the training you will not be issued your 12 hour paediatric first aid certificate at the end of the Paediatric First Aid course. Instead, this will be posted once completed.
Please note: If for some reason you are not able to complete the online part of the Paediatric First Aid course, please contact the office on: 0208 986 9008. You will still be asked to attend the in person training.
We estimate that it will take approximately 5-6 hours to complete the day 1 online part of the Paediatric First Aid Training. This includes watching all of the videos, reading the text and completing the online quizzes. At the end of the online course, you will be able to download a certificate of completion for the day 1 part of the training.
Once you have completed the online paediatric first aid course (successfully completing the multiple-choice questions) and the one day practical course you will receive a 12 hr paediatric first aid certificate suitable for Ofsted registration and valid for 3 years. The certificate will be given to you at the end of the practical course as long as you have successfully completed the online element of the training.

Yes; candidates will have two 15 minutes breaks and a lunch break of 45 minutes.
Yes, we do! We provide unlimited tea and coffee during the training. We don’t provide lunch, however, there are two large supermarkets 2 minutes from the hotel (Waitrose and Sainsburys) as well as a number of restaurants both in the hotel and in the local area. Candidates are welcome to bring lunch to the training too.
If you require a replacement certificate, simply call our team who will arrange for a new certificate to be sent to you. Please note there is a £10 charge for a replacement certificate.
As per our booking terms, if you have purchased a course, you may be entitled to a full refund if you are within the specified cooling off period. This period starts from the date you receive our email confirming your booking. If you have already started any elements of our course within the cooling-off period, you are not eligible for a refund.
For cancellations or course amendments to attendance based courses:
More than 4 weeks before the course date;
Between 4 and 2 weeks before the course date;
Less than 2 weeks before the course date;
Once a course is amended, transferred, or cancelled no further refunds or course transfer options will be available.
A course cannot be transferred or cancelled once any part of the training has started.
