I am a person who recognises that the first few years of a child’s life are highly formative and influential. By adopting a nurturing and encouraging approach, and understanding the importance of planning for the unique child, I am motivated in helping children to be happy, healthy and independent individuals. As well as working with children from birth to 16 years old in both educational settings and through nannying, I have maternity nurse training, SEN training and experience of working with outside agencies, an up to date DBS certificate, paediatric first aid training and have had a clean driving licence for over 14 years.
I am a reliable and organised person, driven by my love for early years education and the importance of it. Over the past few years I have adopted a growing interest in the development and care of newborns, and have been involved in this both professionally through ad-hoc night nannying and personally through the birth of my 2 nephews and several friends' children.
I am looking to gain further experience in caring for newborn babies not only to deepen my knowledge and improve my practice, but also to help guide and support parents in this amazing journey.
