Lydia Doran

My studies and experiences, in a variety of settings, with a number of ages  provided me with the opportunity to gain significant understanding on varies aspects of working with children. For many years I have worked with children, and their families with a variety of needs and abilities. I am able to build positive relationships with parents where we can openly discuss children’s progress and how they are able to support their child at home. I thrive working alongside them, knowing that I am able to support in some way.

I am very passionate about everything that I do. I love learning, although sometimes things are challenging, I am always willing to have a go, with a positive attitude in mind. I am a kind and considerate individual with the want to do well. Through my studies I have built up my own knowledge and pedagogy ensuring I stick to what I believe works in caring for, and supporting children.

I am a mature and confident person with good communication and presentation skills. Through my previous experiences I have enjoyed working under my own initiative as well as part of various teams. I am a hardworking, conscientious and reliable person who thrives on the challenge of being given responsibility. I am a very thoughtful person who enjoys trying new things. I would consider myself a very determined and self-driven person.
